RawPace help

This is the help for RawPace, the training app for Wear OS watches with data screens your way, routes with turn alerts and offline maps. It’s written for the people testing it before it comes out on Google Play, and describes the version in the Google Play test. If you’d like to try it, the tester guide explains how to sign up.

If it’s your first time, start with Watch and phone: two apps: it explains what each part does and how to install them. Then, with Factory settings and Data screens, you’ll have the app set up the way you like in a few minutes. If something doesn’t work as you expect, Sending diagnostics explains how to send us what we need to fix it.

Getting started

Installing the two apps, permissions, sports and how settings are saved.

Data screens

What you see on the watch during an activity, and how you choose it from your phone.

During an activity

Starting, moving between pages, pausing, laps, alerts and reminders.

GPS, screen and battery

Where your position comes from, what the screen does when you lower your wrist, and what drains the battery most.

Maps and routes

Offline maps, following a GPX route, turn and off-route alerts, and the route elevation profile.

Intervals and heart rate

Interval workouts, heart rate zones and heart rate straps.

After the activity

How the activity gets to your phone, what its details show, what to do if it’s interrupted, and how to export it.

Connections

Health Connect, Strava and Runalyze: what gets sent, and when.

Backup, help and limits

Backing up your configuration, diagnostics, privacy, and what RawPace doesn’t do.
